Professor - College of Education

Professor Mohammed Aboelenein is the Dean of the College of Education at the American University in the Emirates. He holds an MA and PhD in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has extensive experience in teaching, research, and university and community service.

Professor Aboelenein’s research interests are related to the Sociology of Economic Change, the Sociology of the Family, Cultural Sociology, Globalization Studies, and social values surveys. He is the author of several articles and has presented numerous papers at regional and international conferences. He is the editor of the Egyptian Journal for Social and Behavioral Sciences, and a member of the International Sociological Association and the American Sociological Association.

Professor Aboelenein held leadership positions for ten years as Chair of the Sociology Department and Director of the General Education Program at the UAE University.
