The Library and Information Resources Center (“Library” for short) is supervised by a qualified Library Manager who reports to the Academic Support Services Director. The Library at the American University in the Emirates plays a crucial role in supporting academic and research activities to fulfill the institutional Mission. It provides access and user privileges to a wide range of information resources to support learning, teaching, research, and creative activities on- and off-campus to students, staff, and faculty members. The Library allocates financial resources to provide adequate and appropriate library and learning/information resources and services that support its mission. Additionally, the Library develops strategies and allocates physical resources to have sufficient qualified professional staff with expertise in the library and learning information field to support University stakeholders, including students.
