Undergraduate Student Retention Rate

AUE defines the undergraduate student retention rate as the percentage of first-year, full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolling in the Fall semester and returning in the following Fall semester. AUE has set a target Retention Rate of 80%.

AUE’s definition of Undergraduate Persistence Rate as the percentage of students who enroll in consecutive Fall and Spring semesters, excluding graduating students on Fall from this calculation. The designated target for AUE’s Undergraduate Persistence Rate is set at 85%.

AUE defines the graduation rate for both undergraduate and graduate programs as the ratio of the total number of completers within 150% of the normal time required for the program (6 years for undergraduate, 3 years for graduate programs), divided by the number of students in the entering cohort.

Employment Rate

Employed graduates are defined by the AUE as business owners, full-time / part-time employees of private and public organizations, as well as full-time students seeking higher education within 12 months of graduation. The employment rate is calculated by dividing the total number of employed by the number of reachable graduates.

Undergraduate Employment Rate

AUE has set a target employment rate of 75% for its undergraduate students.
