9th annual car show at the university campus in Dubai Academic City
19th November, Dubai, United Arab Emirates: American University in the Emirates (AUE) organized their 9th annual car show at the university campus in Dubai Academic City. The event was inaugurated in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Ben Sulayem, former International rally driver, Vice President of the FIA and Arab world leading motor sport figure, Dr. Professor Muthanna Abdul Razzaq, President of the American University in the Emirates, faculty members, leading influencers from the city and students along with their families. The team of Dubai Police, Ambulance and Civil Defense.
At the opening of the 9th consecutive car show, Dr. Muthanna expressed the sentiments of the university. “It gives us
immense pleasure to be able to organize events of such level, offering our students the platform to explore their passions and creativity in the university, while taking a break from their academic duties to focus on a creative segment.”
“I think this just goes on to show that universities these days are so much more than a place to study, it is a place where innovation is born, talent is explored and our youth can direct their energy positively. Fun games and competitions, activities and an amazing gathering can bring about enthusiasm and a lot of renewed drive in the students.” he added.
The car show, that took place in the university field, including many car races and exciting drift shows by the students. The exhibition included many cars of all types, classic, modified, 4 wheelers as well as motorcycles and unique cars. The highlight was the competition for cars, that assessed each car on the basis of type and design. These activities resulted in a lot of enthusiasm, excitement and thrill amongst students.
American University in the Emirates is dedicated to organizing such events that support and showcase students’ creative projects and their ability to think innovatively.
The main aim of the annual car show is to allow students to focus on their skills and explore hidden talents that are not always visible during class hours while also providing a safe and encouraging environment to gather and each with friends, family members and their teachers.
